Who we are
Golden Gloves of America, Inc. (“Golden Gloves”, “we”, “us”) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit, PO Box 644, Portland, ME 04104. This policy covers goldenglovesusa.org and the pages linked from it that we operate. Franchise websites are run by the franchises and have their own policies.

What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you add it, and your message.
- Newsletter: your email address, the date you subscribed and the page you subscribed from.
- Sponsorship and press enquiries sent by email.
- Files and footage submitted by partners through a private upload page, together with the file names and upload times.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics: with your consent, Google Analytics records pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived. We do not use analytics to identify you and we do not run advertising cookies. See the Cookie Policy.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records IP addresses and request details for security and reliability, retained for a short period.
Competition records
The record on this site (results, brackets, champions, team points) is published from the official bout sheets and results of Golden Gloves tournaments. It contains competitors’ names, weight class, franchise or club, and results, including for junior and youth competitors. This is information USA Boxing members and their guardians agree may be published when they register for a sanctioned event. Photographs from tournaments are used under the media release given at registration.
How we use it
- To answer your message and to run tournaments and programs.
- To send the newsletter you asked for. Every email carries an unsubscribe link and our postal address.
- To keep the site secure, measure how it is used, and improve it.
- To meet legal obligations and the rules of USA Boxing.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
Children
The contact form and the newsletter are for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site; if you believe a child has sent us information, write to legal@goldenglovesusa.org and we will delete it.
Junior and youth competitors appear in the competition record because their results are the official record of a sanctioned event. A parent or guardian who wants a minor’s name removed from a page on this site can ask at legal@goldenglovesusa.org; we respond within ten business days.
Your choices and rights
- Newsletter: unsubscribe with the link in any email, or write to us.
- Cookies: change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.
- Access, correction and deletion: ask us at legal@goldenglovesusa.org and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, unless we must keep it (for example, competition records).
- Residents of states with privacy laws that apply to nonprofits (including Colorado, Oregon, Delaware, New Jersey and Minnesota) have the rights those laws provide, exercised through the same address. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
- Visitors from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom: we process your information to perform what you ask of us (contact, newsletter) and for our legitimate interest in running a secure, well-used site; you may object, and you may complain to your supervisory authority.
Retention and security
Contact messages are kept for two years, newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe, and analytics for 14 months. Competition records are permanent. Information is stored on servers in the United States with access limited to the people who need it; transport is encrypted.
Changes
We will post any change here with a new effective date. Material changes to how we use information already collected will be announced on the site before they take effect.
